Entre capas
“Entre capas” is an analog photographic project developed over the course of nearly a year, exploring the relationship between collective memory and everyday life within a metro station. Using the technique of double exposure on 35mm film, the series overlays the fleeting movement of passengers with cultural symbols that evoke the shared identity of those who pass through the space. The station, as a meeting point for people of diverse origins and paths, functions as a symbolic territory where the transient and the permanent coexist. The project was built through continuous observation of daily movement, capturing patterns of transit, pauses, and common gestures. These images were combined directly in-camera with visual elements that represent the cultural diversity inhabiting the place. Double exposure allows these layers—the everyday and the symbolic—to merge into a single frame, revealing a visual narrative that transforms public space into a living archive of shared memory.
